The problem
Independent civic news site · Suisun City · WordPress
Suisun City's public information existed but wasn't usable. Council decisions sat in long PDF minutes. Local races got little coverage beyond campaign mailers. Talk about public safety ran on impressions, with no sourced record anyone could check.
What I built
Council Vote Tracker
- 350+ council votes from 80+ meetings, about 3.5 years
- Each vote in plain language, with how every member voted
- Every entry links to the official minutes
2026 Voter Guide
- All 9 candidates got the same 18 questions
- Answers published verbatim, no endorsements
- 17 key votes per incumbent, each linked to the minutes, with a right of response
Public Safety Register
- 35 reported shooting incidents, 2010 to 2026
- Sourced from police releases and 12+ news outlets
- Mapped to the block, not the address

Suisun In Focus data was used in a Suisun City Council vote on police funding and was picked up by local news.
The Public Safety Register was submitted to the City Council and City Clerk and is part of the public record.
