About / Riza Khan
Clear isa craft.
§ 01 / Story
I’m a multimedia and digital communications practitioner with a background that runs through state government, commercial real estate and global program management.
My first public-sector job was as an Office Technician at CAL FIRE in 2013. As an Acquisitions Analyst there, I led an agency-wide procurement and contracting seminar and developed curriculum concepts and branding that were adopted for the department’s basic purchasing certification. At the Agricultural Labor Relations Board I managed procurement, leases, contracts, fleet and asset tracking.
At Hines I ran four Class A properties totaling more than 619,000 square feet and built the dashboards we used to track finances, occupancy and vendor performance. At JLL, on the Amazon account, I led a global signage program and produced its training media: scripting, editing and publishing 10+ training videos and courses, managing LMS and intranet content, and checking contrast, alt text and screen-reader metadata before anything went out.
In 2026 I started SuisunInFocus, an independent civic site for my city. I design, write, build and publish it — vote records, a voter guide, a public safety register, interviews — and I correct it in the open. From 2016 to 2022, I was part of UFC fighter Nate Diaz’s YouTube channel team: consolidation, metrics, and video production.
I have some college and no degree. What I bring is thirteen years of practice making institutional information usable by the people it’s meant for.
